Well we thought Doug would be discharged today but his almighty colon needs to produce again so it will be another night.   The sky is blue and the sun is shining so it’s more pleasant at least (for Fran). Doug’s oxygen is better and red blood cells remain constant, a little on the low side still, but not low enough for a blood transfusion.

He is no longer on oxygen but still getting iron for his low red count. His appetite is definitely improving though as he ate all his dinner tonight.

He had a good nap after lunch and was feeling pretty good the rest of that day; more like himself and walked enough laps to hit 3 miles today. Best day yet. Fran actually was allowed to take him outside in the late afternoon to get some fresh air and that also helped.
