I asked the border guard about the Tourist Card but he didn’t speak any English and just said “Buenos Dias”. It turns out I should have had the Tourist Card as I drove beyond the border zone but nothing came of it. On my way back to the States, just before Tijuana, the cops pulled me over to pay a $50 US “Service Fee” for running an imaginary stop sign and speeding (don’t think I was). I think I’ll take a bus next time……..
